Illinois wineries host romantic events this season
Illinois wineries invite couples who want to indulge in romance this season to experience their award-winning wines, scenic vistas and always-friendly service. From gourmet dinners and chocolate fountains to romantic overnights and delicious wine tastings, Illinois Wine Country provides countless opportunities to make this Valentine’s Day – or weekend – one that couples will remember forever.

Valentine’s Day Events
2nd Annual Chocolate & Wine Festival – Visitors can savor an evening of delicious wines paired with chocolates from around the world at Ravissant Winery. While enjoying wine and sweets with their sweetheart, couples can peruse the wide selection of varietals and gifts, including chocolate-dipped wine glasses and mini cups.

Who’s Wine is it Valentine? – Visitors can wine and dine their special valentine with a hilarious improvisation show and dinner at White Owl Winery. Mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres, a gourmet dinner and a wine tasting are all included. Each guest will also receive a complimentary glass of wine and souvenir glass to remember the romantic evening.

Wine Tasting and Chocolate Event – Couples can spend the day sipping wine and sampling delicious chocolate treats at Kickapoo Creek Winery. Guests can relax in the spacious tasting room while enjoying the distinct flavors of Illinois wine.

Valentine’s Day Winemaking Seminar – Chicago’s only winery, Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery, will share its love of winemaking with couples at this special Valentine’s Day seminar. While sampling Wild Blossom’s unique mead wines and a variety of delectable chocolates, guests will learn from expert winemakers about the aging, cellaring and labeling processes and create a batch that yields approximately 30 bottles. After the wines ferment for six to 10 weeks, participants are invited to the winery to bottle and blend their wines. Guests will also have the chance to blend and bottle a wine that evening to take home.

Couples Night Out – Nothing says “I love you” like a romantic four-course meal accompanied by delicious wine. Cooper’s Hawk Winery is hosting its Signature Dinner featuring crab and lobster bisque, filet mignon, pistachio-crusted grouper and a special Valentine’s dessert. All four courses are expertly paired with a Cooper’s Hawk varietal.

Wandering Romance Valentine’s Day Party – Romance is in the air at Fox Valley Winery’s Valentine’s Day Dinner. Guests will wander throughout the candlelit winery and tasting rooms
where six food stations will be overflowing with Cajun shrimp, garlic- and herb-crusted beef tenderloin, chicken satay, herb-roasted turkey breast, crepes suzette and much more!
